W7 Cosmic Black - Swatch and Review

Hello there :)

On Thursday I went shopping with two of my best friends and yesterday I went to a wedding reception. This is what I had on my nails for both events. Its W7 in Cosmic Black.
It's essentially just a blackened base with silver glitter (and possibly black micro glitter?) but oh it looks sooo much more exciting than that description!
Basically the glitter is really dense and the base is quite dark, so after one coat you could say it is opaque. I used two here but only to make it more shiny.
And to add to all of that awesomeness, it dries semi-matte! I say semi because the whole thing is matted but the glitter is as sparkly as ever so obviously they haven't turned matte. It kinda reminds me of black granite...
As cool as this looks I can already tell it's gonna be hideous to remove :(

Tonight I'm going to see a show called Wah! Wah! Girls so I'll post about that later.

10p Superdrug finds!

Heey

Just a quick post today. So, on my way to the hospital I popped into Superdrug and while I was browsing I found these!
They are Caboodles nail polishes and were discontinued more than 10 years ago! I have no idea why they were in Superdrug as I'm pretty sure they were never sold there (or in the UK at all) in the first place. Oh well, it's always nice to find things that are oh so very rare :D

And best of all? They were only 10p each!!! I only found that out when I went to pay so believe me I was definitely surprised! One is a pearly pink with a hint of silver and the other is pretty much the same thing with loads of silver glitter thrown in. I love the bottles! They're definitely the most unique polish bottles I own.

I also got these three GOSH polishes too which were only 50p each and a topcoat for 30p. They are still available at full price so that was a pleasant surprise too!

Ahh so all in all it was a successful trip to the hospital. Except for the fact I had to wait nearly TWO HOURS for a blood test. -_-

Oh well I've come to expect that now... x

Bye Bye Bollywood

Time for a more personal post now...

As some of you may (or may not) know I've gone though various health problems over the years but I've always tried to not let that stop me from doing what I love. And it worked. Until now. One of those things was dancing, I've been going to dance lessons since I was about 8 or 9 with my cousin. Honestly I have LOVED every minute of it. But I knew my health would catch up with me someday, I guess I just always wished that day would never come...

But it has. Actually it probably came ages ago, I've just been ignoring it. And so now it's finally time to say goodbye. Goodbye to the lessons, Goodbye to the shows, Goodbye to the outfits and, most importantly, Goodbye to the girls. You guys became some of my closest friends and I hope that this isn't the end of our friendship.

Your probably wondering what it actually was that made me realize that enough was enough, well actually it was a combination of stuff. But eventually it all came back to "health". Basically because of my health, I'm always missing lessons and, often because of doctor/hospital appointments, whole days as well. Because of that I'm falling behind it a LOT of things and I have exams coming up. So I need all the time I can get to catch back up. Also, because of one of my health problems, I'm always getting injured, meaning I either dance on in pain, thus making myself worse, or sit out completely. It's like a catch 22 situation. All that and a few other things made the decision for me.

Ok, enough about me. Here are a collection of photos from over the years. Enjoy.

You girls are the reason I've always stayed, you made me feel like I was no different and that i could do anything anybody else could and so without you I definitely wouldn't have stayed so long. Love you forever <3

On a brighter note, I made cupcakes for everyone.

This might be the end of one chapter of my life but I'm sure the next will be even better!

Models Own Purple Grey - Swatch and Review

Hello people of the internet

So originally I was planning on wearing something a LOT brighter than this but because of everything going on, I thought that this represented my mood far better than sparkly green would. Anyway more about that tomorrow.

So here we have Models Own in Purple Grey.
Its a taupe coloured creme polish and it applies nice and smoothly.
This is two coats.
Its a grungy colour but I think it's quite an appropriate autumn colour
In normal light this appears greyish but in brighter lights it verges on brown. But purple grey is definitely the best description of it!

KleanColor haul

Hey there

This is the story of how an innocent bit of homework turned into a slight shopping spree...

I needed to get a book for my English class so obviously I turned to Amazon. Well, while doing so I got distracted and started browsing through other things (nail polish basically) and I found loaaadds of American brands that I can't get over here and well I just needed them! So this is what happened:
I had to decide on only one brand cause otherwise the shipping costs would have been HUGE, so I picked KleanColor because they had some awesome polishes that reminded me of indies, but for a lot less.

I almost started crying when this arrived! Just look at them, they're beautiful! AND they worked out, on average, at less than £1 a bottle!!!
Ahh *happydance* whoooooo! Haha, I'm crazy, I know =D

(Ignore the crappy photo quality, I took these pics with my phone because I'm too impatient.)

Until next time x

Revlon Scandalous - Swatch and Review

Hey there

I went to one of my best friends surprise birthday party on Thursday and yesterday I went to Thorpe Park with school so I didn't get to post this until today.

To both of those things I was wearing Revlon Scandalous. Turns out it is just a newer bottle of the old and limited edition Facets of Fuschia!
It is basically small fuschia glitter with larger hexagonal fuschia pieces in a blackened jelly base.
Here I'm wearing two coats over a standard black polish but you could probably get away with three if you didn't have the black underneath. The formula was good and the glitter distributed evenly but it did take a while to dry.
Excuse the shortness of my nails, school is finally taking its toll on them and so I had to cut them :(
Purple and black, one of my favourite colour combinations!

So basically here's the final word: This is a gorgeous polish BUT it is a pain in the butt to remove!

Oh and here's what I wore to the party:
Dress - Red Herring
Shoes - Debenhams
Cardigan - Matalan

Crayola Bubblegum Nail Polish - Swatch and Review

Hey!

Ok so this is a bit of a rushed post but I really wanted to post this so here goes...

One of my best friends (Seevana) recently went to America and brought back some cool things! One of them was this Crayola scented nail polish. I assume they were part of a set as there was different colours but I picked this pink one because although I don't normally wear pink this was a colour I didn't have in my stash.
Bubblegum is a slightly metallic hot pink with an awesome bubblegummy scent. Not sickly strong but strong enough to smell it if you waft your hands in front of your face (Or just sit there sniffing your nails like I did :P )
It's very pigmented and after 3 thin coats it is completely opaque. Drying time was actually quite fast and it applied nicely.

In the sun it almost... glows! Yeah, seriously it's like a neon.

In the macro shot you can see the micro shimmer.

So thank you sooo much Seevana, I love it! (And the other things too!)

Back to school!

Hiya

So today was my first day back at school and honestly.... It wasn't that bad! Okay so there was no usual late start (8:30 today, used to be 9:25!) and this is my last and probably most crucial year, but still it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

That said, there were a few hiccups:

Drama number 1: My hand has completely forgot how to write properly! Observe:
Before
Now
As you can see my handwriting is awful and trying to keep my nails a decent length at the same time doesn't help because they just dig into my palms. :(

Drama number 2: I had no summer tights left in decent condition. They were all bobbly or with slight rips in them. So, because of that I had to wear my winter ones and bloody hell I was boiling! The good thing is, I went to Alaska after school with one of my best friends and we got milkshakes, so it wasn't too unbearable :)

Drama number 3: New shoes DO hurt even if they are from Clarkes! Thank god they only started hurting at the end of the day.

Apart from all that the rest of the day was fine. I only had one proper lesson (Okay, it was a double) and then a talk about Moving on to College/Sixth form and Careers...
Oh my god, In a few month I need to start applying! Time has gone WAY too fast!!

Ooooh I almost forgot! My new school bag!!!! I looooove it <3 <3 <3 Lets hope it lasts till the end of school and doesn't fall apart like some of my previous ones.

Okay, now that school has started I'm going to have to focus A LOT because of exams and all that so blogging will have to take a back seat sometimes, so I probably won't post everyday from now on.

Until next time... x

My Nail Polish Stash

Hello again

You already know that I have a bit a nail polish obsession already, so I might as well show you my stash. I've only really started buying loooaaaads of polishes quite recently, about 7 or 8 months ago. I can't actually remember what got me so interested but now I'm hooked! So far I have 212 polishes and counting.

Obviously I don't actually have any income so I do have to restrain myself a lot :(

How I store all my polishes:

Generally they go by bottle size and I keep brands grouped together.

The top six suitcases with all of the polishes I own:
The bottom suitcase is full of my nail art stuff:

I know that it seems like I have waaaay to many but I dunno, it's like how some people have lots of shoes, I have lots of nail polish! :)

Hopefully I'll post some individual collections soon, we'll see...

This isn't supposed to be a bragging post so please don't think it is :)

Thanks for reading x

3) I'm British and I love to travel.
4) I like baking but I really hate cake.
5) I'm doing GCSE's at the moment so i probably wont be able to post that much :(
